Favourite Video 2

This video is another on of my favourites because of the editing used in the video. The song is about a car accident and throughout with the use of editing, it shows people being hit by cars without the cars actually being their.

Favourtie Music Video 1

This music video is one of my favourites as the style of the video is the the opposite of the style of music being played by the band. The mise en scene of the video have no link to the lyrics or style of music, the band just decided to make a video that would make their fans laugh and hope that they would enjoy the video.

This is a music video from the band i have chosen for my A2 media project. The band is called "eridium", they are a local band from dereham, and i am friends with the bassist. They are a metal band and have played at local venues such as the waterfront and the B2, and at this moment they are still unsigned.

Jonas Akerlund is a Swedish film and music video director. He is most known for directing Lady Gaga’s infamous video ‘Telephone’ which featured Beyonce and also Madonna’s video for ‘Ray of light’ which won a Grammy for best music video.
Akerlund forte is Stylish music videos, which often are mock forms of movie trailers and short films.
He started off in a metal band named ‘Bathory’ before finding fame from directing ‘Roxette’ Other artists Jonas Akerlund has worked with include: Christina Aguilera, Blink-182, Pink, U2, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Jamiroquai, Ozzy Osbourne, Macy Gray and most recently Lady Gaga. His work is very controversional as he produced a ‘porn’ style video for ‘Rammstein’ but he has also produced lighthearted successes such as Shaggy and Ali-G’s ‘Me Julie.’
His style is very much cinematic, and his videos tend to be very long and much like a short film. The reason as to why i chose this mucis director to research is because of his music video for the band rammstein. This is a band i am very interested in and wanted to learn more about their music videos, so this is why i chose Jonas.

The reason why i like this music director is because of the style of his mucis videos, he works with mainstream bands such as maddona and Lady Gaga, but he also directs videos for more underground music genres such as metal with the bands metallica and rammstein.
